Monty Python Stars Reuniting for ‘Absolutely Anything’

Terry Jones is aiming to reunite the surviving Monty Python team for his latest movie. The comedy troupe, who last appeared together 14 years ago, are being lined up to provide voices for an animated sci-fi film, Absolutely Anything. Nicol Williamson dies aged 75


Stage and film star Nicol Williamson has died after a two-year battle with esophageal cancer. He was 75. The unpredictable English actor earned raves for the intensity he brought to his roles, but his erratic behavior scared off many film and theater producers. He is best known for his wild-eyed portrayal of Merlin in John Boorman's 1981 film "Excalibur." Principal photography on comedic thriller "Filth" is set to start next week. Based on the novel by Irvine Welsh ("Trainspotting"), "Filth" is written and directed by Jon S. Baird, and the cast includes James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, Jim Broadbent, Eddie Marsan, Joanne Froggatt and Imogen Poots. Sweeney sequel in the works


With the new big screen contemporary version of TV police classic The Sweeney due in cinemas later this year, its director Nick Love is already planning a follow-up. Screen Daily, which broke the story, says that Love is in negotiations with his stars Ray Winstone and Ben Drew (aka singer Plan B) to reprise their roles as detectives Jack Regan and George Carter of the Metropolitan Police branch the 'Flying Squad'.
