Aitch,
Sorry to hear this news. Chris did a commentary on one of the DOCTOR WHO DVDs ("The Invasion" maybe), and he was very informative and entertaining.
Another sad Dr Who loss.
There is a picture of Chris in my album snaps ‘A day in studio TC3’ with one of the aliens. He was the production assistant on the first story to be made and broadcast from 2” colour video tape, ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’ back in 1970. As Gerald Lovell say’s he features strongly on the DVD release of the 1968 Patrick Troughton story ‘The Invasion’ were he is on the commentary and is also in the documentary. I hoped he would get the chance to do this again on another release, sadly I believe this is not so! However he does feature in the behind the scenes footage on the ‘Carnival of Monsters’ DVD and should also have a similar feature when ‘Death to the Daleks’ is released as it has a full studio recording session in the BBC archive.
He is the voice counting down on the VT Clock avatar in this post while also in the Doctor Who DVD ‘Inferno’ were the clock for episode 7 is accessible and ‘Carnival of Monsters’ that has the VT Clock for episode 2 as a hidden extra
