The return of the Mystery Blonde and Brunette from Man in a Suitcase - Three Blinks of the Eyes?

EDIT - Looks like you'll have to open another window to compare the girls on the prevoius page:

Who are these people??? - post #10

This is the girl with the tartan skirt I mentioned. It was difficult to do an accurate capture as she dances

throughout the scene but while viewing it back in 'real time' I had the strongest feeling it might be her:

It was only by chance that I 'stumbled' across the blonde's energetic appearance. The reason for 'capping

this scene was because wellend thinks the girl here is the Man in a Suitcase brunette. I think he's right!:

At one point the Extra leans forward while Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) is talking and looks as if she is trying

to get noticed ("Peek-A-Boo") but misses out! Better luck here but at the expense of a good one of Mike:

Another prominent figure among the dancers is this man. Does anyone recognise him?:

Wouldn't it be funny if the (invisible) Marty suddenly appeared behind him at this point?!

I don't know how you spot these Extras, wellend - likewise new member Hummies - and continue

to marvel at how Aitch and Jim can identify them, but am surprised you haven't mentioned this one:

Like the girl who appears at the disco in From Beyond the Grave, she approaches the leading man. It

was eventually agreed by some of us that the Mystery Redhead in the Hammer film was Olga Anthony.

This man is surely an experienced actor, judging by the way he reacts to Jeff's odd behaviour (talking

to himself/the ghost of his friend). I like his display of the traditional "What's he been drinking?" look:

But what is his NAME? I can't believe this actor wasn't credited. Is he familiar to any of our experts?

Many thanks to wellendcanons for inspiring this surprise 'assignment'

That last one, the bartender, looks very familiar to us. Think we've seen him before, but can't remember where, right now...

But have other ones to add to the long list of extras who get close-ups and appear in many other productions without being credited!

Have a top three of distinguished gentleman types who weren't mentioned anywhere by name, at least we couldn't find a credited role for them so far. Here are photos of them, will post lists of appearances this evening to hopefully make it easier to spot them and maybe find out their identity. The following captures are taken from The Champions.

And here's a blonde girl we've seen in no other series/film than in this episode of The Champions called 'Autokill'.

    Regards,

    Hummies

More great work, Hummies. I can't help but hope you or someone else can identify them sooner or later. The Champions seems to have a habit of showing Extras and Bit Part players in train carriages. Apart from John Tatum, identified only yesterday at 'Anyone Recognise This Actor?', and Madge Brindley, we now have another to add to the list with the old Military-type actor.

Thanks again for your interest in this thread.

Hi, Cornershop, yes that is Vince, as you say behind his left shoulder, I worked with most of these gentlemen in the past on various film calls, the Saint ect, but I didn't work on The Champions, I only wish I could name them for you.

Hello Jim. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm glad people like yourself and Aitch (Harry Fielder) are around to give some of These People the recognition they deserve. That's what I was hoping for with this thread. Oddly enough, Vince (Fleming) wasn't among the faces I pointed out in my 'Blow Up Special' but I still wondered who he was - and now I know!

It looks like your information could prove invaluable, Jim, as he has an IMDb profile which so far has just one credit, a film called Last Orders. Under the name Vincent Flemming he is again listed as a stand-in and David Hemmings was among the stars (as was his son, Nolan). 'Concrete' proof (whatever that means)! It's a bit of a star-studded film, actually: Michael Caine, Tom Courtenay, Helen Mirren, Bob Hoskins and Ray Winstone as well. Anyway, I'll submit Vince's fleeting appearance in Blow Up and hope for the best.

So, in the last few days we've had Mark Taylor, John Tatum, Fiona Dolman and now Vince(nt) Flem(m)ing identified at various threads ('Anyone Recognise This Actor?' and 'Actors Compendium Website' being the others). That's GREAT! Well done to those who've solved the mysteries. But why didn't it occur to the filmmakers to make a note of their appearances at the time? I understand the limitations of on-screen credits (especially with Fahrenheit 451!) but surely the full cast could have been presented in publicity material for these shows and films? It took 25 years to find out who that girl in the antique shop was in Blow Up (Susan Broderick), another ideal candidate for this thread. "Who IS that girl?", I'd ask every time I watched this classic film:

"One of these days, EVERYONE will know who I am - thanks to Cornershop!"

And Finally ... I had the most frustrating case of "Who Are These People???' when watching an episode of The Saint yesterday. Apart from some credited actors I was unfamiliar with, the show contained a few who weren't, and had several lines as well - Leslie Sands' attractive secretary, for instance (so I'm talking about The Well-Meaning Mayor). But what really 'did my head in' was the appearance - and I'm 100% convinced it was him - of Michael Beint. He had plenty to say but his NON-credit threatened to put doubts in my mind. More on this at 'Uncredited Actors', but you may well see the aforementioned secretary here.

I'm 99% sure this young lady was in the Gateways club scene from 'The killing of Sister George', she's wearing a white blouse and has a couple of lines, then her partner says to her "don't dance with any strange men"!

I only have 'george' on videotape and unable to do a screen grab, but if anyone can do one to make a comparison i'd be very grateful.

Jim, you know, your help is ever so much appreciated!

And thanks, Cornershop, for putting the extras and uncredited actors/actresses into the spotlight here! Great job.

Speaking of Vince Fleming, we have a screencap from The Champions episode 'The Silent Enemy' where he was seen as a dead sailor, so he's certainly not good-looking in this one:

Now to 'The Well-Meaning Mayor' from The Saint. We also recognised an uncredited Walter Sparrow playing a policeman in that one. And the first military-type guy appeared in it as well as the second of the three men posted above. And yet another elderly gent which was also seen on The Champions in the same scene with military-type no. 1 in episode 'The Search'. Here's the captured evidence from The Saint:

This is the guy we think is Walter Sparrow.

    Military Type No. 1

Extra No. 2 at the election party

... and again the same extra seen standing and chatting at the bar a few scenes later

And that's the one that was with No. 1 on 'The Search' and also had a guest role in UFO episode 'Reflections in the Water' as a film producer/director or something like that. Got a big close-up there, but no credit.

name='cully']She has a slight look of Anouska Hempel about her...

cully, she really looks a bit like Anouska Hempel with that hairstyle and the somewhat dreamy expression on her face, but don't think it's her.

Hummies, in the ringed pic, Extra No. 2 looks like Frank Forsyth, but that is certainly not him in the colour pic.

BTW, my notes on "The Well Meaning Mayor" shows Ian Wallace uncredited as Sir Angus.

    Thanks, Gerald Lovell!

wearysloth has some nice pics of Frank Forsyth on his site. But, comparing the faces, we don't think it's 'our' man.

    Aveleyman - Frank Forsyth

Extra No. 2 wasn't seen better in 'The Well Meaning Mayor', but he's the same guy as the one in the colour pic, though it may not be seen very good in the cap.

Thanks for your replies. After a slow start, this thread has suddenly moved along at a rapid rate since Hummies' sensational contributions. I'd love to know how you all manage to spot some of these less-noticeable Extras, who I'm more likely to find when screencapping. That was the case with the people in Part 2 of my Blow Up posts. I wonder if Mark is right about this girl?

    name='Hummies']

And here's a blonde girl we've seen in no other series/film than in this episode of The Champions called 'Autokill'.

name='Mark O']I'm 99% sure this young lady was in the Gateways club scene from 'The killing of Sister George', she's wearing a white blouse and has a couple of lines, then her partner says to her "don't dance with any strange men"!

With pleasure, Mark. How did you remember/recognise her? Amazing! Coral Browne, left of picture:

Is it her? Maybe. I still can't work out who her partner is? George refers to her as Lesley at one point

Late addition: A closer view of the 'couple':

Butch:"Well, what do you think of Laurel?"(Susannah York); Femme:"I think I prefer Hardy!"(Beryl Reid)

I have ruled out the unfamiliar actresses in IMDb's cast list, based on research and character names.

Rosalie Williams later played Sherlock Holmes' housekeeper, Mrs. Hudson, in the Jeremy Brett series.

Thanks for the above Marius............as soon as i saw the original pic i remembered her from 'George', and whenever i watch this film she gives me the impression of being too, ahem, 'straight' looking for the part, but having attended a couple of Dusty Springfield tribute days over the past few years it's most definitely taught me to never judge a book by it's cover!

I'm glad this girl has come up because I've been wondering about her. At least the one on the left from The Chanpions, who is wearing more make-up and her eyebrows are thinner, than the one on the right. It may well be the same girl though judging by her facial structure. Personally I have my doubts.

The one on the left looks quite like Annouska Hempel, whereas the one on the right doesn't look like her at all. All this makes me wonder if the two images either side of Annouska are the same girl.

Interesting comment wellendcanons, it may be her twin sister if she has one but the full lips, eye colour and nose structure are the same, plus she has a lot more make up on in the far left pic, the atmosphere in Gateways would have been hot and sweaty even without the film crew and all their equipment!

I agree with you Mark that she has far more make-up on the left pic and that is to be taken into consideration as a major difference. The structual features are very much the same. I think the Annouska pic has thrown me, as she looks more like Annouska in the first pic than the second. I may well be wrong about this. It wouldn't be the first time. She's so plastered with make-up in that first pic that she could be either or neither. One thing I definitely think I'm right about is that the photo with less make-up on definitely isn't Annouska Hempel, whereas the first one, (doubtfully perhaps), just might be.

Like wellendcanons, we have our doubts about the blonde girl. Personally, we don't think it is Anouska Hempel as her facial features are different somehow, especially the nose and lips. The girl from 'The Killing of Sister George' might be the same as the one from 'The Champions'. But who knows...

Here are two more pics from The Champions girl:
