You never can tell with Dick Powell
i have been trying to find out the name of this films for over 10 years!! this will challenge even the biggest film buff, but i hope someone somewhere out there knows the answer.
the film is about a dog (alsatian/german shepherd) who dies and comes back as a man (Yes i know it sounds strange but bare with me)
it shows you the dog in heaven where the "god" is a lion and there is an angel who is a white horse. he is allowed to return to earth as a man but for a set time only.
when he returns to earth he goes to see his owner (a lady) and the lady has another dog (which she had before the dog died), i think it is a bull dog and it eats the food for the first time since the dog died. (this is because it is his doggie friend)
thats is all i can remember but i have been searching for the film for ages.
it must have been about 20 years ago when i watched it and i think it was black and white.
i hope someone knows this film and can solve this 10 year mystery :)![]()

If you liked Dean Spanley and or O'Toole, watch his tour de force of Jeffrey barnard is unwell. 1999 recorded live at the Old vic...

I accidentally happened into the showing of "Jeffrey Barnard" some years ago around Xmas.
Superb. I am not a big fan of O'Toole but in that you can appreciate his talent.
