    Apart from Brideshead did any other tv shows get made in the early 1980's to apeal to the sloane rangers ?

    I think you'll need to clarify there a bit. Was BR made to appeal to the Sloanes? I remember a huge faux-nostalgia for the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, cigarette cases, cocktails, natural fabrics, brogues, floppy fringes dyed blonde ... without any of it having anything to do with Sloanes.



    Check out anything Anthony Price was in. Excellent TV personality, and I think he even coined the phrase.

    I think in the Sloane Rangers handbook it says that they only like watching tv if it's something about them or the upper class. Think they mention Brideshead but wonder what other drams like it were made around the same time.

    I think Brideshead was made to appeal to a much wider audence than that - and succeeded.
