hello all,

i remember a british film from the 80's or early 90's. the film was about traders of currencies or stocks in the city of london. in the plot there was an old traders who was kicked out of his job and a young succesful trader who is a freind of his. the young trader has an exotic collection car and also a smell plain. i cannor remember the name of the movie and i really want to find it and want to see it. can anyone remember the name of the film?

i've no idea to be honest as this sort of movie is not my cup of tea but the only one i remember is the one with ewan mcgregor

The set used for the office was the same set, but slightly revamped, that was used in the drama serial 'Capital City' from the same time.

The drama serials CAPITAL CITY and CHANCER, both starring dark haired, wolfishly attractive leading men Clive Owen and Jason Isaacs, they blend together in my mind. The plots, I mean. Not the actors.

I was going to mention CAPITAL CITY, although all I remember about that was it being on after SHELLEY, and that one of the characters in it grew/acquired a trendy ponytail- something parodied on ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES a year later.

It was dealers, it starred Rebecca De Mornay and Paul McGann, it was extremely poor and very unoriginal.
