What was the criteria here ? Good artwork or good album ? Sometimes I don't like a cover because I don't like the record/CD whatever. Either way this set could have been improved upon ! It's neither a set of the best British record covers, nor the best British records. I realise The Beatles got their own set, so it makes sense they were not included, although presonally on a purely visual level I thought Revolver was the best of their stamps. Perhaps it's just the ones the taxman did well on !

The Division Bell for Pink Floyd?

I would have thought that Ummagumma or Animals were more like their classic album covers

There's one for you, nineteen for me.

    'Cause I'm the taxman,

    Yeah, I'm the taxman.

Good choices I thought, both from an artwork point of view and a representation of the varying styles of music from the last 4 decades.

The only one I'd happily see dropped is Coldplay (boring wristslashing crap) and replaced witha NWOBHM cover such as Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast or Def Leppard's Pyromania.

I must agree that Jamie Reid's "God Save The Queen" cover is superb, but unless I'm mistaken it's a cover of a single not an album. An album cover I would have like to seen included is The Small Faces' "Ogdens Nut Gone Flake". Maybe one of our tech wizzards can post it - it's a British beauty for sure !

Gogglebox bless your cotton sox ! If you get nicked me and The Darlings of Whapping Wharf Launderette will have you out of there, quicker than you can say Jack Sheppard ! Now who can argue that it wouldn't be a lovely stamp ?

How about Billy Fury's "The Sound Of Fury" perhaps the first great British Rock"N'Roll album and a great cover too.

The best British rock n' roll album in my opinion.
