My husband is trying to describe what he thinks was a film - although it could've been a TV series. He says it was a 'period drama' like Cranford but was about a church and a choir. A new vicar comes along and brings with him a new organ which the old timers in the choir rebel against. The vicar then decides he wants to travel the world and asks the female lead who plays the organ, to marry him. She refuses as she doesn't want to leave home.
I really haven't got any idea - it could be a Catherine Cookson or a Thomas Hardy. Please help he's driving me mad!!
