This American Mystery Man's main profession (most active from 1960s-2000s) is far from the field of athletics.

If he didn't spend so much time at his desk or using his wits, he might be in better shape at his age.

    Hi, Wadsy,

I just had a look at Yeager and was amazed at the resemblance.

But Mystery Man is someone different, born about a decade later than Yeager.

Our guy is not a professional pilot or particularly physical at all. He is noted for his keen intelligence and speaking abilities and has been involved with some very high profile people through the course of his profession.

He is an American and still living.

No, but think of a professional we often are in need of yet frequently criticize.

    Hi, Number Six:

An excellent guess! Not our man and not specializing in sports. You are very correct in the approximate time born and choosing the legal field. Follow that path.

It is F. Lee Bailey O.J. Simpson's lawyer.

Sorry, played by Gerald Gordon in Patty Hearst or on the TV by too many people to list

Yes indeed, and well done Vaggmk! Although F.Lee was disbarred, he is still going strong in business.

    Carry On,

Generally considered a "good German", he escaped the death sentence on the evidence of allied officers. His name was changed in the film which is filled with FFs.
