80s / 90s film in which a girl gets cloned into her dreamguy

hi everyone,

i have been looking for a film which i cant remember the name of, think it was 80s or early 90s.. basically a girl is creating her dream guy in a photobooth type contraption when something goes wrong. you then see that she has turned into the appearance of the dream guy she created but is also herself! the dream guy version tries to fulfil her dreamguy expectations to make (herself?!) happy.

its a teen film, and the only other things i can tell you are the main female lead is brunette and main male lead is platinum blonde, and there is also a character called 'the hoover'-typical teen film slut.

if anyone could please give me the name or any clues as to what this film is i would be really greatful!! been trying to find i for ages :)
