Hi all,
Would anybody know the title of a UK TV drama in the 1980/90's that featured a tax inspector or accountant that had to go to a large mansion house to look at the accounts and evict the resident, but ended up sleeping with the women in the house.
Thanks.

Sounds a bit like the 1964 Joan Crawford TV movie 'Della'.
Either that or Darling Buds of May. Clearly some accountants have a rich fantasy life...
Could this be Holding On, an 8-part BBC drama starring David Morrissey from 1997.
He played a tax inspector who was investigating a powerful, wealthy guy. He started to take bribes and got drawn into a very shady world. I think (if I remember correctly) he started sleeping with someone (the gangster's wife perhaps).
It sounds like the 1995 BBC series "Ghostbusters of East Finchley" about tax fraud investigators. As I recall the lovely Jan Francis was the resident who becomes involved with the inspector. I can't remember it being set in a big house though.

An excellent story by Stephen Merchant, also with Alison Steadman, Phil Daniels and Leslie Manville. davis Morrisey was excellent as tax inspector Sean. But I think, alas, not what is being looked for here.
