Triangle? Set on a boat? Nothing to do with that 1980 series about the North Sea ferry I hope? That was quite a horror

If. like me, this had escaped your attention then read on....
Triangle (2009) is a British horror.
When Jess sets sail on a yacht with a group of friends, she cannot shake the feeling that there is something wrong. Her suspicions are realized when the yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety, a ship Jess is convinced she's been on before. The ship appears deserted, the clock on board has stopped, but they are not alone... Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one. And Jess unknowingly holds the key to end the terror.
I watched this tonight and was pleasantly surprised. It's not the stalker/slasher I expected at all and it has more in common with Memento than Friday the 13th. It's well cast, nicely acted and has a grippingly intriguing storyline that is continually being unravelled right to the closing credits.
Starring Melissa George (Angel from Home & Away, Grey's Anatomy) and Liam Hemsworth (Knowing) this isn't exactly a cast of unknowns but the lack of big names serves it well, adding to the feeling ofcreepy isolation.
It's a more intelligent horror than your average and well worth a look if you're a fan of chillers rather than gory splatter movies. And it's British!

That's exactly what I thought when I came across it. Gladly it's purely coincidental.
Looks good. You can see it's not a slasher movie.
Very clever thriller this one. Well recommended!
I only got hold of the DVD today and really, REALLY enjoyed this - it's an intelligent film that certainly makes you think, and think hard! I only watched it a few hours ago and can't get it out of my head, it was that good.
I don't want to give anything away, suffice to say that it's NOT a slasher movie - it's far above that.
I urge anyone who likes intelligent, highly thought provoking films to give it a try.
