Yes like Doctor Who or Ace Of Wands it was unmissable. But not as creepy as the former though.

Awful. I watched an episode recently (in the last ten years) and it's just poor - the acting is dire; so scripted. Now I know that kids can't act, and TV shows are scripted, but there is no excuse for this level of bottom feeding. With canned laughter, just in case it's not funny at any point whatsoever. HR Puffenstuff, on the other hand ...
I just watched it for 'Tiger' (Debbie Russ), whatever became of her?
But 'Here Come The Double Deckers' was more of an continuation to 'The Adventures Of The Magnificent 6 1/2' Children's film serials, but it was still great to watch and you just have to watch 'Spooks' to see what has become of 'Scooper' (Peter Firth)!
it was not my cup of earl grey.i was to busy drooling over Dora on Follyfoot Farm.![]()
Loved it!! I'm sure as Rowden points out it was actually quite poor but at the time I was a massive fan. I seem to remember it was home from school, Double Deckers on tv whilst gulping down beans on toast, then off to Cubs!! Oh where did all those years go?!?!?!name='dvdman']What a great show for growing up in the 70s anybody else loved it ??
I think I'm right in saying that the recently departed Robin Davies of Catweazle fame, started in The Double Deckers. And of course, Peter 'Spooks' Firth was in there too!
robin davies wasnt in d d

you're quite right. I've just been looking in to that and he was in a pilot show that eventually became the DD, which he wasn't in!
i do have every episode of d d on dvd

Debbie Russ is now a radio presenter:
Radio Jackie - The Sound of South West London and North Surrey - 107.8 and online
As for Peter Firth, I'd never made the connection until now. NOOOOO! No No No, that's so wrong!!! My childhood transformed into a 50-something spymaster. You'll be telling me next that the Why Don't You gang are all grandparents now.
thank you for that link mate
didnt why dont you come on before d d ??
WDY? staarted in 1973, DD in 1970, but I think you're right - WDY? was an attempt to get us all to switch off before the repeat of DD ;o)
thanks for that info
Loved it at the time, always tried to make sure I was home for it.
It was good then - but now, as we're older?
Thanks 'Ghughesarch' for the info!
