    The Adventures of PC 49

"Gangly Metropolitan constable Archibald Berkeley-Willoughby (PC 49) wants to be assigned to special duties to help track down a violent gang of truck hi-jackers stealing fags and booze galore. To this end he frequents all the greasy spoon cafs he can find that lorry drivers stop for a cup of char, especially dear old Ma Brady's."

Relleased in about 1960 and starred Patrick Mcewan and stanley Baker. Would look very dated now as the Thames Traders they used had to have the film speeded up, cheers Good film in it's day.

It's OK. The sequel, A Case for PC 49 is better IMHO, simply because it has the original radio PC 49 (Brian Reece) in the role, whereas the first one has Hugh Latimer.

Sorry, John (and JimW1) - Batman's probably right. It's definitely NOT 'Hell Drivers' (released in 1957 and using Kew-built Dodge s). The cafe in 'Hell Drivers' was a studio set, only ever seen 'after dark'. The building in the clip is obviously a real location, seen in daylight, and the scene bears no relation to anything seen in 'HD' (is that too many seens/scenes?)

    Cheers!
