Great in Stlag 17, and very funny in Airplane. Do you like gladiator movies?![]()
Have you ever been in a Turkish bath?
BTW, R.I.P Peter G.
So sad. In my youth I was a fan of Mission Impossible and Jim Phelps. R.I.P. Peter Graves.
Another icon from my childhood passes away, making me realise that, at 63, I am not getting any younger, either. I remember him so well in 1950's CinemaScope Westerns such as Canyon River and Wichita and the television films series Fury (due out on Network DVD in April) and Whiplash (already out on Network DVD). A fine actor and a great screen presence. He was actually the brother of that other great Western star of the 1950's, James Arness, who rose to fame as Marshal Matt Dillon in Gun Law. R.I.P. Peter Graves. You won't be forgotten. Below, a Front-of-House still showing Peter Graves in the 1956 Western Canyon River, with George Montgomery on the left.

Sorry to hear this. I much enjoyed MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE in its day.
Another sad loss from when I was a child.
RIP Mr. Graves.
Thanks Mr Graves, for many happy spent in front of the TV. RIP.

Peter Graves.

Another icon gone! Debating old eps of MI gave me some great fun with a former colleague back in the 80s. We had a bird's eye-view working on the 13th floor (I was never superstitious!) and whenever we spotted BT doing a fix in the main darg down below, it was always 'Barney'!
Respect and rest in peace Peter.

I'll also remember him for his 1965 British tv series, Court Martial, in which he starred with Bradford Dillman. He was by all accounts a well-liked and professional fellow.
RIP, sir
