Help me, British-type people! I have answered this question myself in the past, but for some reason I'm vapor-locking on it now. I want to say this was from an English horror anthology TV series or movie. Thought it was one of the Hammers, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Someone on another forum is asking:

"Could anyone please tell me of a B movie from the late 70s or early 80s where a Couple moves into a new house and the women sees ghosts, one is of a young child playing on a tricycle on the front lawn. In the end you find out that they were not ghosts but she was seeing the future. at the end an escaped mental patient has escaped and murders her husband in a car outside the house."

I know this. I have it tucked away somewhere but I can't for the life of me remember its name.

You're right it was from a British anthology series.

The funny thing is that I can picture the actor that turned out to be the future murderer but I'm damned if I can remember his name or anything else that he's been in....and in the 70's he was in a lot.

Fairly certain it's Screamtime (1983). The segment in question scared me witless but other parts are absolutely dire!

I had to undertake a tedious search of my own archives, but I eventually stumbled across the answer: it's Screamtime from 1983

ETA: Heh, MrSkipling came in with the correct answer as well right as I was posting this.

I'm not sure I will, having just seen this. Much too violent for me:
