    R0 America - (Anchor Bay)

    No cuts. Full version.

    Extras:

    US trailer

    UK trailer

"World Of Hammer" -episode: "Dracula & The Undead"

    Aspect Ratio:1.85:1

    Picture Format: Non-Anamorphic

    TV System: NTSC

Soundtrack(s): English Dolby Digital 2.0 mono

Notes: Double-sided disc. Now also in the double feature with "Dracula: Prince Of Darkness", with same extra-features. Note, that most tvs go straight to the "anamorphic-mode" with this disc, even when its non-anamorphic.

    I second Gogglebox's suggestion.

I asked about this recently on a mailing list, and everyone unanimously recommended the Anchor Bay edition. Seems to be hard to find these days, so expect to pay through the nose!

The US Anchor Bay release by far. The original UK cinema cuts appear to be lost forever but the video cut is restored in full and the print is a nice one.

Ahh, worth every penny for Christopher Lee's Bela Lugosi impression!

A little more info if you're considering another version:

R1 America - (BFS Entertainment) - Bad transfer

R0 America - (Madacy Entertainment) - Back cover says "Fullscreen". Also in the "Christopher Lee Collection", with "Horror Hotel", and "Circus of Fear".

I have a Region 1 release by Echo Bridge that is basically a copy of the Anchor Bay release. Cheap as well.

Interesting one for me this as I threw the DVD away as the quality was so bad. I would like to know though what the longest run time is and best colour as much of what I have seen on DVD is fairly rough?

I've had the LaserDisc for some time which is very good quality from Roan and a 1998 issue. The film runs for about 87 minutes and the disc also includes the UK and USA trailers in 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio.

The telecine artist was Matt Corrigan which means a nice job as a rule.

    Thoughts anyone?

I had a reasonable copy of this on VHS from an off-air recording I made but sadly it gave up the ghost and I had to replace it with a pretty dire DVD from Alpha. Yuk!

That laserdisc would seem to be the same version as the expensive Anchor Bay DVD.

I recorded this last time it was on UK TV, not so long ago ... I think it was from

BBC1 on a Saturday night, it's a widescreen copy, does anybody know if this was a full version (or as full as it's possible to find) ?

    Thanks
