It feels like extracting teeth trying to find anyone with footage of the 50's and 60's of Anglesey, N.Wales. Particular reference to North Anglesey, Amlwch and surrounding areas etc.

Under the freedom of information Act it must be doable to extract some of these old clips and footage out of the BBC or ITV companies.

    Any ideas anyone...???

The freedom of information act will only get you information - you might be able to use it to get them to say if they have any footage. It won't get you the footage itself

What makes you think that they might have some footage?

Have you tried the local BBC and ITV companies rather than their national headquarters?

The obvious place to try is the National Library of Wales and their film archive (the National Screen & Film Archive of Wales). They got at least two films of Amlwch from the 60s - including Amlwch Carnival day in August 1960
