I was sentenced to a week in Butlins in Ayr in 1962 and every night they showed an episode from a black and white childrens' film which I think was CFF as I didn't recognize it as a cinema release. The plot is hazy to me now, but I think it had something to do with a boy going to live by the sea and having some kind of adventure. The one thing I do recall is that there was an old man in it who he kept referring to as 'Uncle Hank'. In fact in the last episode when he is leaving (and wearing I think some sort of uniform) he says 'Well - goodbye Uncle Hank' - quite plummy voiced. Absolutely no other memories of the film (although I am still being treated for memories of Butlins).

If anyone recalls anything - please post away and take my thanks.
