I love watching her in anything, but especially in The Good Life and Solo. She had good parts in Jason King and Man In A Suitcase too. She still looks terrific today.

There must already be thread somewhere.
I'm on a bit of a Good Life jag at the moment, and I just wanted to post this:
Q&A: Felicity Kendal | Life and style | The Guardian
Doesn't she sound exactly as you'd hope?

This might be of interest. Lots of anecdotal stuff.

She was just wonderful in the Good Life. Wasn't too keen on Solo though!

Many happy returns Felicity Kendal. Still looking fab. Perhaps The Good Life fans will appreciate this.

I am just reading her/her family autobiography "White Cargo" it is both hilarious and touching.
Here are some screencaps of Felicity Kendal as Barbara Good in the episode Plough Your Own Furrow (1975) from the classic Comedy series The Good Life.

She must be one of the most charming and attractive actresses in her profession.
It doesn't seem that she has done that much, though - at least work that has reached us here. I know she continues to act but after her fame as Barbara Good I had hoped there would be many other shows. I have seen the other three members of that cast in many things over the years, always with enjoyment. It doesn't seem that she has had as much success. Eddington, Keith and Briers are very well known here, and have been for years. Paul Eddington died about fifteen years ago but his shows continue. Penelope Keith is rarely off the screen for long.
However, I know that this is obviously from the perspective outside of Britain. Perhaps some of her successes didn't translate - or perhaps she has concentrated on theatre. I did see her as a detective a few years ago in a show that I enjoyed. She still looked terrific.

Yes, Rosemary and Thyme was probably her last big TV success, teaming her with Pam Ferris.
An early gem from her career is the Merchant-Ivory film 'Shakespeare Wallah' which follows young Felicity, her sister Jennifer, and their parents in a piece about a theatrical family based in India, just as they were in real life. Jennifer Kendal, who died young, married acclaimed Indian actor Shashi Kapoor, who also appeared in the film.
