Thanks for the tip off. Definitely one for the heavy-hints-for-my-birthday-present routine.

Lewis Gilbert is such an articulate man and entertaining speaker, I had the pleasure of attending a screening of "Moonraker"and talk by the director at the NFT in London last year, it was during the Cubby Brocolli film season and naturally quite a few Bond films were screened. I've ordered my copy of his book which Im sure will be fascinating reading, thanks for that link

This is wonderful news. Gilbert (Alfie, Educating Rita, Moonraker...) also directed three Bogarde films. Thank you, Windthrop.

    Best wishes,

'All My Flashbacks' - Lewis Gilbert's autobiography was released on April 5th through Reynolds & Hearne. I ordered my copy at the end of February but still have not received it. I had an email from them three weeks ago saying they would be taking delivery of the first print run that week and would be despatching orders later in the week. Before I follow this up, has anyone else here received their copy yet? Anyone else still waiting?

I bought one at the launch at BAFTA on 9 April. So it is in print, though this may have been an advance batch, sold direct by the publisher.

I can imagine how fascinating a read it is! I'm biting my fingernails until it arrives. Can't wait for Mr. Gilbert's comments on his films, actors, and crew. The real clincher was learning from Merton Park that it would be signed. Yippee!
