Fox are releasing this double bill - but will there be any extras? When will they have a bit of commentary etc for both of these movies?

Good news - at least if it's uncut.

The US Disc (a double feature on the Midnite Movies sublabel of MGM / Warners) is - but the accompanying Vault of Horror is the cut version!

The BBFC make no mention of it being widescreen, so it's possibly a full frame print. No news on its uncut/cut status either.

That means it's full frame. This casts doubt on whether it is a legitimate release, despite the classification.

Good news. I have been after this film for some time.

It has been many years since it was on TV. Looking forward to seeing it again.

    Thanks for the tip off.

Amazon may have got it wrong, but it states widescreen here:

Hopefully Amazon are correct, though the BBFC generally mention if the submission is a widescreen one. Their site is undergoing maintenance at the moment so the link isn't available.

    Site updated. BBFC submission here.

Hopefully this restores the 'slithering innards' shot, cut from the cinema & video prints.

US prints always run slightly longer because of the different frame rate.

UK Pal videos/DVDs run at 25pfs

US NTSC videos/DVDs run at 24 fps

A Pal print will run 4m faster per 100m.

This month sees the standalone release of 'Tales From The Crypt' being released. Released before of course as a double feature. Interesting to note the release of 'Paranoiac' coming out-as they have done for 'The Anniversary' 'Fanatic' though no mention of 'Nightmare' yet? Here's hoping!
