Can anyone remember a children's film from the 1950's (I think) which featured a group of Village children trying to raise money at the local fair. They stumble on to a recipe for a high energy pop corn which they call Bang Corn. The army gets involved as they see potential in the corn as a new explosive. There may also have been some villains involved, with the kids in the middle trying to protect their 'invention'

I saw it many years ago on TV, probably in the early 60's but have never come across it again.

Does any one remember it and if so can you tell me the name?
