The author of a new book about theatre and cinema in a North-East city will sign copies tomorrow (Saturday).



John C. Foster, of Langley Park, has written 'Looking at Durham Stage and Screen 1884-1963', which has been published by the Memoir Club, with profits going to the Friends of Durham Hospitals.



Mr. Foster will sign copies of the book at the tourist information centre in Millennium Place, Claypath, Durham from 11am to 4pm.



The book, which costs �15-99p, looks at the establishment of theatres and cinemas in the city and amateur and professional productions that were staged.
