Neither the Sea nor the Sand (1972), perhaps? Set in Jersey mind you.
Need some help identifying this one folks. I remember a horror film on late night television many years ago possibly set in Cornwall.
Basically the plot centres on a husband and wife (possibly newly wed and on honeymoon). Anyhow the man dies or goes missing and is presumed dead but he turns up a few days later alive so to speak. Trouble is his body is slowly decomposing!
A definite 70's feel to the film and I do recall a Morris Minor Traveller featured quite heavily in it.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.![]()

Thanks for the suggestion. I've looked at a clip on Youtube and it does look like a possibility.
I admit that due to vague memories, I may have been a bit out with locations and plot etc.
I remember something similar. Not sure if it's the same movie or not.
The one I recall was an enlisted guy (in his twenties maybe) who goes away to war and is later declared as killed in action. But a bit later he shows up back home. Eveything seems fine at first, but you eventually realize he's dead as he starts decomposing. More and more as the movie progresses. I recall a scene in a car with his girlfriend/fiance where he is driving at night but is wearing sunglasses. And blood or ooze starts trickling out of the corner of his eye. And he gets a greener/paler dead color more and more as well.
I thought is was an American horror film but maybe it's British. Not sure if it's the same one you are referring to but seems close enough.
Don't know the name of it though.
UPDATE. I asked on another board and mine is: Dead of Night (1974)

Thanks for that James. I'm now 99% sure it was Neither The Sea Nor The Sand though.
However the run down on Dead Of Night you gave sounds intriguing. I may well hunt that one down too.![]()
