    A. What I can remember.

    Murder of female in bungalow by south coast seaside

    two detectives on the case

    Murder weapon was hammer

    The alibi fell down when detective realised it was a Bank Holiday Monday (That is in the days when shops closed)

    Style was typical B/W British cop movie

    If I may ask another one as I collect these lovely items of social record.

    B. I can only remember the clincher in the case where a small boy who collects car numbers wrote in traffic grime on suspect's car and broke the alibi.

    name='billy farmer']A - Jigsaw (1962)

    That is one thanks I have made a note of it.

    I have the League Of Gentlemen somewhere, I will check it as the synopsis about the boy did not quite fit my memory as the boy wrote in the traffic grime I am sure.

    Couple of years ago I brought a TV series from a site in the USA and the seller sent me a DVD of Jigsaw to make up the post weight. Quite unexpected and not a bad thriller.

    Its not a great copy. Looks like a recording from an old two head VHS video tape.

    I buy a lot of TV series from the USA and find that quite a few sellers do make weights. They also give you extra films if your a good customer. One trader sent me the whole Baron series, shame as I already had the Network set.
