    Hi, Flynn :-)

I thought I'd do a quick read of Nepean's articles and wound up spending two hours poring over the pages and marveling at the '40s and '50s photos of the stars as we knew them back then. I've never seen many of the pics, so it was a delight to see those faces, young and sparkling in that time warp.

    Cheers,

    Barbara

He had grown up in the business, being a child actor on stage and screen and could have chosen just about any department to work in. He was a skilled painter and studied the great masters so he could have been a designer or done the special effects. As he showed later, he could have been a director. But he chose to be a cameraman - one of the best ever

You can just about see in that picture why the real Capt. Bell was called "Hooky" Bell. He had a lovely nose on him

John Gregson wore a falsie in the film although his false nose isn't as big as Capt. Bell's nose really was. The film-makers thought that would seem excessive
