Does anyone watch this programme? It's screened on a Sunday morning between 10.00 and 11.00 am.Unfortunately today's was the last of the current season until the next season in January 2011. It's a debate show covering 3 subjects every week, some trivial and some extremely serious, the latter subjects don't get nearly enough time but I find it interesting to hear other peoples opinions and how they justify them. Like all debates, however, the vast majority of participants have entrenched views so nothing is ever achieved.

A regular panel member is Peter Hitchens who has always been a bete noire of mine but I quite liked him on todays show - am I sickening for something?

It's bad news hhhhancock. There's no hope I'm afraid.

I find it best not to watch. It sets off the voices in my head saying "kill, kill, kill".

Yes, it's deeply worrying. I will have to visit the docs tomorrow I think.

I can understand your reaction, I try and suppress my aggressive tendencies and fall into the mindset of 'Well we're all entitled to our opinions, however crazy'.

    It does work sometimes.

Agreed, which is why I'm worried. He even smiled a couple of times, is he changing into his more intelligent brother?

I watch it Hancock. I love it! I`m also glad Nicky Cambell is back after a few weeks break, the woman presenter was ok but when I see her all I think about is `loose women` and that puts me off her completely. Todays discussion on should there be women bishops had me intrigued, I could go on about my own thoughts about male hierarchy and the bible but this isn`t the site to do it on. Wasn`t sure whether `Do people in this country hug enough` or whatever the title was, was a bit of a cop out for a debate show when there are more serious matters worth discussing I think. But overall I am disapointed that the programme has ended and won`t be back until January. Sunday mornings won`t be the same.

    xx.

Best bit on SFTW is always the "gadgets" section. They never, ever work. If I manufactured a gadget I'd pay NOT to have it featured on the programme.

Yes, Nicky Campbell does control the contributors very well, I thought he was a bit oily at first but after his recent absence I've grown to appreciate him and he certainly does his research on the varied subjects. I think the hugging thing was supposed to be a light hearted end to the series but it didn't work for me.

My guilty secret is that I get up at about 8.30 on Sundays, pick up the papers, make some breakfast and then go back to bed to read the papers and watch Andrew Marr & the Big Question. What will I do for the next 6 months?

But this is a programme which I gather is on at 10:00 a.m.!!!

Surely that's half an hour before dawn on a Sunday isn't it?

Why aren't you all still asleep?

And why on Earth would anyone get up to watch anything featuring Hitchens? Has anyone ever been so consistently and demonstrably wrong about so many subjects so often for so long?

You must be a spring chicken Tonch, at my age I'm lucky to sleep until 7.00AM, at my age I'm afraid I can't get back off to kip after about 5 hours sleep - I only wish I could!

There aren't many people who can stomach Peter Hitchens. Does anyone ever bother to read his column in The Mail on Sunday?

I`ve just realised who Peter Hitchins is, what a miserable man he is. On the big question I thought his face would disintergrate at one point!

Yep, but then again some of the gadget gurus provide a nice distraction especially Shini Somara.
