Hi I've recently heard about a film that involved a bus and the associated people on it. The film is called 'Chain of events' and the BFi page states

"Crime melodrama describing wide repercussions which follow timid clerk's attempt to dodge paying bus fare."

Released in 1957, and because it features a bus I would like to try and get it. Anyone have it at all?

This film is on my 'wants' list so if you have any luck I would love a copy. Have you tried 'Friday the Thirteenth' 1933? It's a similar 'compilation' type film, several stories all coming together and being resolved on a bus.

I've got Friday the thirteenth, had that one for years and its a good film as well. Its also similar to 'Train of events' based on people all getting on the same train.

Of course carrying on for lost films with buses in there is on the buses theme is the constant search for 'Lightning Conductor'.

The film is with Studio Canal, so I would suggest you write to Optimum and request they issue it on DVD.

Is there an issue with them releasing some of the films they hold?

How do you find out who has the rights? i'd be interested in finding out how you do a search.

I hope Chain of Events isn't one of these films that is lost. I have the quad poster in my collection and this seems an opportune moment to post a picture of it
