Quite a lot of the Screen Two films were on the BBC Video World series volumes, along with some Screen One and Screenplay etc. These videos were for the foreign market, ex-pats etc. At one stage, these were regularly available on Ebay and other sites.

Screen Two Titles included: Old Flames

    He's Asking For Me

    Sometime In August

    Circles Of Deceit

    The Lorelei

    Heading Home

    102 Boulevard Haussmann

    The Laughter Of God

    They Never Slept

Some of the other Screen Two's that have had proper commercial releases not mentioned previously:

    The McGuffin NTSC Video

The Man From The Pru NTSC Video

The Object Of Beauty DVD R1

    Enchanted April DVD

    The Trial DVD

    Butterfly Kiss DVD

    I.D DVD

The Railway Station Man NTSC Video

    Midnight Movie Pal Video

    The Hawk DVD

    Small Faces DVD

    Captives DVD R1

A Man Of No Importance DVD

    Century Video

Out of the series of films shown during and after the Screen Two era, although could have been mistaken for Screen Two. Series titled "Love Bites" / "Obsessions" / "Wicked Women" only "Go Now" has had a commercial release.

Two acclaimed examples are available on DVD (from amazon.co.uk) as Dutch imports (Region 2) and US imports (Region 1):

THE LOST LANGUAGE OF CRANES (1991): a young man comes to terms with his sexuality.

It should be noted that there are two versions of this. The original TV transmission has more nudity, but the American video release has alternate takes of the same scenes with the charters wearing more clothes!

    i have

    northanger abbey

    do not disturb

    the cormorant

    momento mori

    the lorelei

    the blue boy

    persuasion

all are very good productions apart from 'northanger abbey' which suffers for its cheesy music and peter firth.

Just checking on this and noticed that the item I was looking for, which was in the header, has gone since the original thread was moved to its rightful place.

So, this is what I'm looking for.

"Screen Two" Femme Fatale (TV episode 1993) - IMDb

    I hope someone can help?

If anyone is interested, I also have the export version of Cranes, which has alternative shots for certain scenes.

Basically in the export version the actors are generally wearing underwear where they are not in the broadcast version. There's a similar issue with The Laughter of God, where there is less nudity in the version on the BBC Video World tape (presumably the export version) than there was when shown on BBC2.
