Hi all out there. Hope you can help with this one, its been going round in my head for quite some time.
This was a TV play but was later made into a film I think.
The scene I can remember is this....Young guy and a girl are in a barn, he starts to shave and she is amazed that he can do it without a mirror. There is then some dilogue and her admiration for him is that he has done something wicked, like a murder or something, but it turns out he has deserted from the army (maybe National Service)and then their relationship falls apart.
Thats it, all the best BACUS

I don't think it could be either Tiger Bay or Whistle Down The Wind, because I don't recall either Horst Buchholz or Alan Bates having a shave in them and neither of the films were originally a TV play.
It's not Triple Echo is it? I don't recall it being a TV play though
