Next month we are having our annual Raise the Titanic day here where some local enthusiast’s get-together watch and generally mince over the movie. I did wonder if anyone might have the little TV clip from Clapperboard as it would add something a little bit fresh to our fun event. We have been doing this now for quite a few years so it would be nice to include the Clapperboard bit if anyone can help us out pleasey?

    Up she comes again!

    Hi Ed

Yes have traded with that good looking lad before so he may well help out if he has it. Will be screening a REEL FILM print this year as well in Cinemascope, and linking the Laserdisc to projector for sound pick up.

The Clapperboard episode is the one I am still trying to get hold of. I did trace it back to the film archives at ITN, but they are charging over £100 for a transfer to DVD which I feel is a lot of money for what it is.

While on the subject of Titanic, did you happen to catch the new series "Titanic: The Mission" which started last night on Channel 4? I was one of the historical advisors/consultants to that series.

    Mr Pastry Man,

Best of luck on the screening,

    Sounds like a good gig.

    Jonathon,

A pity about the charge - does seem high.

    "Clapperboard" was a great show

Thanks for the update Jonathon and perhaps we need a concerted effort to locate this clip eigh. A chap I used to know way back used to work on the series so I will try and track him down as at one time did have some U-Matic recordings of the shows. Leave that ball with me..

Anyone else help Jonathon in his quest? Oh and mine.

I was in contact with the shows producer Graham Murray late last year. He unfortunately doesn't have the show in any form.

    AH...

I wonder how the Titanic model is fairing in Malta now? See someone is trying to rebuild the model and save her as well...
