I don't have the dvds which are probably fascinating.

I was reading about the Mitford sisters recently and was floored at the tangled web of the family, including Unity's love for Hitler and Diana's marriage to Fascist Oswald Mosley in Germany attended by Goebbels and Hitler down to the recent sex scandal of son Max Mosley, former FIA bigwig. Were they poor and/or untitled people, they'd never get away with the seemingly ongoing deference paid them.

Yes, I agree - to me the fascination with the family is a rather British phenomenon, just like the never-ending Kray obsession. (Whom I'm also interested in, I must admit.)

There's never been a docu covering all of them, but there are these:

    - "The Honourable Rebel" (a portrait of Jessica Mitford, BBC, 1977)

    - "Nancy Mitford - A Portrait by Her Sisters" (by Julian Jebb, BBC, 1980)

    - "Unity" (TV drama, BBC, 1981)

    - "Unity, Putzi und Blondi: Hitlers Freunde und der amerikanische Geheimdienst" (by Rasmus Gerlach, Germany, 2002)

    - "Diana Mosley: Adolf, Oswald and Me" (Channel4, 2003)

And then, of course, there are the two adaptations of Nancy's novels "The Pursuit of Love" and "Love in a Cold Climate", but beware, though based on fact, it is fiction:

    - "Love in a Cold Climate" (Thames Television, 1980)

    - "Love in a Cold Climate" (BBC, 2001)

C4 did a documentary about Unity a couple of years ago which I assume is out there on the torrent sites. There was also a radio documentary a few weeks ago about posh women going inter-railing in Germany in the 1930s which had some reminiscences about her.

Diana Mosley (nee Mitford) interview, TVTimes 25-31 October 1980

As promised earlier at the Love in a Cold Climate thread (presumably how railroaded came to find this one!):
