THE AVENGERS: Conspiracy of Silence (Peter Hammond: March 1963)
Carlo (Robert Rietty) has followed Steed (Patrick Macnee) to a park where he has taken his dog, Sheba, for a run. Carlo attempts to shoot Steed with a silenced revolver but misses. Carlo panics and runs away leaving the pistol and his briefcase behind.

Nearby parks to the Teddington Studios include Bushey Park and Hampton Court.

Looks like the gardens of Chiswick House to me, its the high hedges in the third picture that is making me think that.

    Tony

I considered putting this one up myself, but never got around to it. The lack of any landmarks save the large stone structure in the second image convinced me that thjis would be very difficult to locate. I believe that there are something like five parks or open spaces quite close to Teddington Studios and so I would start my searching with these.

Yes - I would say that there is a very good chance that Christoph404 has got the right park - I don't think it would take much to get a 100% confirmation.

Isn't there a pair of large iron gates in the background at one point?

Not that I can see on my Dutch copy. All the Chiswick photos I can find tend to point to this being the spot - it just needs that final piece of the jigsaw.

There is a point in the middle of the park where three roads converge into one road heading straight for the house. There are hedges and urns a plenty - my bet would be that searching this area would bring positive results.

Some Beatles promo stuff wa shot here in '66 so it maybe worth having a Google for that - my broadband usage in shot - until the 12th. So I'll be missing in action for a while.

The Beatles doing their promo for Rain on 20th May 1966 at Chiswick House Gardens, with Ringo Starr sitting on a plinth (these are usually used to stand urns on). Is it one of these plinths that is glimsed during the location footage for Conspiracy Of Silence?

The cobble stones at the edges of the pathway and the archway in the background... I'm convinced, yes, I think you've got it there Tony.
