I'm a bit vauge on this but i seem to remember the plot being about a london docks crane driver (pretty sure it was a young Michael Redgrave) who whilst eating his sandwiches up his crane witnesses a murder in a near by apartment, he then embarks on finding out what's what and put his own life in dander, prob a mid 40's B&W film,
any ideas (or if anyone has a copy i'm more than happy to pay for it)
