The basic story is that La Llorona was a beautiful woman by the name of Maria who killed her children by drowning them in order to be with the man that she loved, but was subsequently rejected by him.
Maybe Mexican movie. I'm sure it was Spanish language. It may have been B&W for budgetary reasons, atmosphere or because it wasn't new.
The guy doesn't want the child with them and the mother is so desperate to be with him that she kills her child...possibly drowning in the bath.
Any ideas?

I know a few American movies where mothers killed their kid(s) with that motive, but I don't know anything about Mexican movies.
