80s Children's Ghost Story - Dramarama/Spooky perhaps?

Hi all!

For the last 10 years i've been searching the internet trying to identify a fading childhood memory to no luck! I've many times posted the question on newsgroups and forums and never had much success.

Yesterday I looked at one of my old questions and found someone had referenced that it might be an episode from dramarama/spooky. I then searched on the internet and found someone else who has posted their memories on the program (they are trying to identify it to!) I've decided to repost their message in order to try and once and for all identify this tv program!

Hi there I am trying to remember the name of a British TV show or episode that aired on the ABC (Australia) in the late 80's or early 90's. The show played through the day and it was about a family who moved to house that was haunted. It wasn't a typical haunting - the ghost was a crying woman and she could be heard through the electrical equipment in the house. Her face could be seen on the family TV and in the end the family discovered it was their power generator that was haunted.

I seem to remember seeing other shows that told scary stories so it may have been part of a ghost story series. Another show which I think was in the series told the story of an animal that sought revenge on a hunter who cut off its tail. I remember watching these shows as a child with my mother and when I ask her about she calls it "Middle English" but other internet searches turn up nothing for that.

Does ANYONE know what this might be? :)

You ABSOLUTE star! That is indeed the program i was looking for! Can't believe I've finally identified it (and have it to watch too!) Felt like an out of body experience watching it again lol
