Sorry to have to ask this, as I have seen the answer here before, but can't find it.

can someone tell me the name of the British film where a doctor is hired to work at an asylum, but all is not what it seems, and it turns out the real director of the asylum has been replaced, and one on the patients interviews the doctor for the post.

I can almost remember the title...But its clearly just not coming from the tip of my tongue lol

Actually, Patrick Magee, who interviews Robert Powell for the post is a real doctor. Powell is told by Magee that he will get the job (of doctor) if he identifies which asylum inmate was his predecessor. There is a big twist ending however.

Hi all, and thanks for your replies.
About five minutes after posting, I realised i had put the title in my question!!
I did post a reply from my Iphone, but to be honest that method seems to fail as much as it works on some forums. Thanks again for the speedy replies, now all I need to do is keep an eye out for a cheaply priced copy of Asylum on Amazon :)

Apparently Bayldon was a late replacement for Spike Milligan.
