    Hi all.
I am looking for the title of a sci-fi film. Sadly I actually own this film, but cannot find it anywhere, nor can I remember the title. Having not watched it in ages, I felt I need to see it again, hence I am here lol

There are a man and woman central to the plot, but I cannot remember if they are both scientists, or if they are even married, but it would make sense for them to be married.

The alien/UFO connection happens not far from where the man and woman live (somewhere out in the country), and the woman becomes involved in their business, but not the man. There is some kind of camp set up around whatever is going on, with a fence and guards to protect it. I seem to remember the man trying to see the woman, and he arrives in a series one land rover, but is turned away by the guards. Later in the film, the man either tries to rescue to woman, or simply to see what is going on/destroy what is going on, and travels down to ? in a tube like lift (which wasn't very convincing from memory)

Maybe the protected area is designed (or is) being made to look like a cordoned off government project, I simply cant remember (the film may even be set in Australia or NZ)

Sorry I cant remember more, but it is years since I have seen this film. I don't remember it being very good, but still want to see it lol.

Except for rescuing the woman it sounds like Quatermass II. Would there have been another British movie from the fifties that close in plot?

Another possibility (but doesn't quite fit description) These are the Damned.

Fiend Without A Face or X-The Unknown are two other possibilities.

    HI again.
No this is nothing like Quatermass, but I have seen fiend without a face so it may be that one. Do you have any screen shots. I have looked at the film DVD/VHS covers in here, but they are not giving it away.

Keep in mind I was referring to the Quatermass sequel, not the first one.

Right, now that does help in a kind of way, as the film I am thinking of was in colour, so it at least rules that out!

The only other thing I can think of, is that the woman in my film must have been under control or ?, which is why she was happy to be part of ?, and the husband wasn't (she was allowed into the compound by the guards, and was happy to go in).

I think it could be They Came from Beyond Space (1967), an Eastmancolor film from Amicus. The leads I think are engaged rather than married and are played by Robert Hutton and Jennifer Jayne.

That is probably it. You should have mentioned it was in color because very few science fictiion movies were in color in the fifties.

Gerald Lovell has it. I think a "B" movie support to "Nobody Runs Forever"?

Gerald Lovell and Will have it.
I recognised the film the second I saw the still from the movie clip, even without playing it.
Yes I should have said it was in colour, but my ref to it being 50's OR 60's could have been a clue lol

Being from Amicus is a bonus, as I have just started to collect and view these films. :)

Fiend without a face was not Kynaston Reeves finest hour. He should have stuck with Billy Bunter
