Saw this film only once as a child. the only things I remember about it are that it was a supernatural film, there was a small girl in the film who had a musical jewellery box which played "Fr Elise". I seem to recall that there was a shed in the film which had some significance! Not much to go on, I know, but would be very grateful if anyone could help identify this film for me!

Thanks for replying. That was suggested to me by a friend, but sadly isn't the one! Every time I hear that piece of music it annoys me that I can't find out what the film was, which I remember finding very creepy and compelling (as a child!).
But thank you very much for the reply.

    Hi, Summerjade,

This is a shot in the dark but as you were a child, perhaps the details are mixed a bit.

Could it be Rosemary's Baby? A jewelry box is important: rather than wear a tannis-root charm, Rosemary puts it in a jewelry box, and "Fr Elise" plays in the background just before Rosemary is told she is pregnant.

Yet, Rosemary's Baby is a 1968 film, and it's possible that a later film, the one you saw, picked up on the fear elements of the jewelry box and "Fr Elise" and used them.

Good luck in identifying the film.

    Barbara

There's a little girl and a jewellery box in The Bad Seed.

And the shed that the gardener works from also figures in The Bad Seed, doesn't it? But it's not supernatural, just evil ... Except for the final credits which are just wonderfully weird.
