The film was filmed in Salford but Salford City Transport refused the use of their buses for filming of this nature so they had to hire buses from Manchester.

My uncle and aunt lived not far from some of the scenes in the film, looks soooo bleak but was in actual fact a very warm and friendly area

I have visited a lot of the locations used in the film, but where was Jo's school?

Some of the filming locations used in "A Taste Of Honey" have been identified by a couple of members of our Rita Tushingham fan club. Jo's school was located on Jarvis Street between Charlesworth Street and Barmouth Street, but has since been demolished.
