The-Beatles-Please-Please-Me-330195.jpg!B(uB)Y!CGk~$(KGrHgoH-CcEjlLlzSkuBKd)!)1,6w~~_12.jpgMrs-Mills-Mrs-Mills-Plays-T-386151.jpgAdam-Faith-Adam---Factory-Sa-451228.jpg!B(uB)Y!CGk~$(KGrHgoH-CcEjlLlzSkuBKd)!)1,6w~~_12.jpgI enjoyed the Arena documentary on Sir George Martin immensely.
Featured in the programme were some beautiful Parlophone Lp artwork+photographs.I have the prized and collectable CD box-set of George Marin '50 years of recording' which goes back to the early Fiftie's to the Ninetie's, the booklet has some lovely early Abbey Road studio photographs.
I have in my collection EVERY Parlophone Long Play album released from 1958-63 which had the Gold ribbon black/gold STEREO logo on the record label. I really mean to get them published. The Lp artwork is truly awesome; high gloss quarter plate photography, and all have the LARGE bold stereo logo on the album cover which carries a repetition of the Lp title. Ron Goodwin Peter Sellers Spike Milligan Sophia Loren Rolf Harris Flanders and Swann Millicent Martin ad infinitum..
The superb heavyweight vinyl is very clearly excellently recorded at EMI-and have 12" colour scans of them all. I'd love Sir George to see them all! Inthe early Sixtie's a full price Lp either in (mono) or (stereo) was the same price: 32/- (Thirty two shillings). The original Black/Gold (Stereo) series ran from PCS 3001-3043 before the Apr/May 1963 label change-over to Black/Yellow.
    Best to all.

Thanks for the scans, not tempted to part with the Black/Gold stereo of Please Please Me then? Worth a pretty penny or two these days as I'm sure you're aware!
