See as their isnt a thread to him thought i would start one up
Am currently watching the complete series of Father TED, so thought i would start a tribute to the much missed Actor/comedian Dermot Morgan who sadly died at just 45

He actually died just a day after the final epsoide of series 3 was filmed, no idea iof a 4th was in the Offering , he was about to do a film about an Irish soccer coach set over an incident in the 50s , not sure what though

Rip Dermot Morgan a much missed and loved charactor

If he had never done anything other than Father Ted he would have still been fondly remembered. The utter joy of watching him bouncing around to Shaft in that final episode, albeit knowing that was the last full day of his life. The amusement of his frustrations with Father Dougal. He was not an actor but he managed to make an awful character into a likeable hero - almost!

I was very sad when he passed as it seemed, perhaps, that given the right vehicle he would have become a huge TV entertainer.

Very sad he passed away aged only 45.....

I often wonder what he would have done in later Life.....I saw the memorial to him (The Jokers Chair) In Dublin on my last visit to Ireland in 2009...

The plan was always to end the series where it ended. A friend of mine was in the audience for the final episode, and said that the episode ended with Ted standing on a wiondow ledge considering jumping off. This was dropped from the broadcast version, and we actually saw a compilation of classic Ted moments.

I remember the shock of his death, and the first episode of that final series was delayed for a week. A terrible loss of a huge talent.

PS: thank you for the link. One of my all time very favourite clips. Wonderful. Pauline McLynn is flawless as Mrs Doyle.
