Does anyone know if the large castle outdoor set on the backlot at MGM Borehamwood was built for or used in Eye of The Devil.

The IMDb says they filmed at Borehamwood, but that they also filmed at Chteau de Hautefort, Dordogne, France

No castle was built in the backlot - all castle footage is Hautefort as is some of the village shots.

A large village and church set was built on the MGM backlot for the festival sequence, this survived until demolished in 1974.

Filming alo took place in Ashridge Country Park.
