Can anyone remember the title of the series that revolved around a subbuteo (table football) league. The twist was, that the teams best player, was a young woman. I had it in my mind that it was Eve Matheson who played the part of the young woman 'flick to kick wizard'. But looking her up on imdb can't see anything that suggests that this is true. think it was set in scotland and it was probably on around 1988 - 1992 (might be a bit out with these dates). many thanks
Could it be this:
Playing for Real (TV mini-series 1988) - IMDb
E.
I knew it was Playing for Real as soon as I read the question. It crops up on The Guardian regularly.
Don't be put off by the IMDB illustration though. That's not it.
(I have advised them)

I think that is Mick Lyons playing Roger Cross at subbuteo. and they have stuck the ball on the crossbar for the action shot!
thanks again everyone
