    Hello. I remember seeing part of a film as a youngster. It's in black and white about a young woman who lives with her parents in a small village. She goes to bed early each night and writes in secret what is seen as scandalous novel, along the lines that her uncle is her Father etc. She herself works in a hair salon and is great demand and the village is hounded by the media. It was in black and white and I remember it being either 50-60s period from the clothes. I think it was English because of the village setting. Just wish I'd seen all of it and knew the name.
