"Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio?" From Mrs. Robinson.
I thought i would start a new Thread to see how many songs Brit Movie Members can think of that have been about famous people and also songs that have featured the names of famous people, a few examples i have already thought of are - Alvin Stardust - I Feel Like Buddy Holly (1984), Paul McCartney and Paul Simon are mentioned in the song I Feel Like Buddy Holly, Charlie Drake - Mr Custer (1960) a song about the famous American General George Armstrong Custer, Heinz - Just Like Eddie (1963) a tribute song to Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry - Roll Over Beethoven (1956), the Billy Joel song We Didn't Start The Fire (1989) mentions the names of many famous people, i am sure Brit Movie Members can think of many more songs that have been about famous people and also songs that have featured the names of famous people, below is a YouTube Video featuring one of the songs that i have mentioned.
