    I am doing a project on 3D tech in independent cinema and wonder if anyone had useful information or view on this subject

    It might not be useful information for you but my view is that this round of 3D technology isn't any better than it was when it was tried 20 years ago and when it was tried 40 years ago and so on. It still often looks like a series of theatre scenery flats giving a strongly layered appearance. People in 3D films still point to the camera a lot or throw things towards the camera as if to say "We've spent all this money on 3D technology, you may as well see something that looks vaguely like a 3D effect"

    It's already starting to wane in importance this time around.

    The Independent cinemas shouldn't waste their money on it. It's a flash in the pan, a 90 day wonder
