I vaguely recollect watching a late night horror? film on TV with my late mother in which the hero became involved with a posh family with a 'secret'. This turned out to be that the oldest member (? Sir Roger?) turned into a huge frog at night - scenes of family retainers dragging a blanket, with said member on it, down to the lake in the moonlight!
Never seen it again (for which relief much thanks) but would like to be reassured that it wasn't simply the result of sharing mum's cheese on toast please.
Sorry if it wasn't British - it was certainly pretending to be!

It was so long ago that I believe it was transmitted in black and white and I don't recall any of the usual 3D tricks - things being thrown at the camera etc. Many thanks to all who have replied so promptly and helpfully.
Just two problems remain: first how do I resist trying to track down a copy and reliving the horror (sic) of it? Second, where did I get "Sir Roger" from?
