As it's that time of year when pointless polls abound I thought I'd do my own , the question is : What in 2011 has been your British themed DVD release of the year ( TV or film ) ?

For me ( and it's probably no surprise ) it would be Network's release of Mr Newley's The Strange World of Gurney Slade

I was delighted with Networks release of 'Dramarama-Spooky' and 'Sergeant Cork Series 3'-the latter was a total surprise so close the the release of series 2- I had presumed that the small amount of episodes in series 2 meant that all the surviving episodes had been covered or deemed unusable.

    Definitly

Ok, it's not a british production, but Charles Laughton and H.G Wells are good balance I think...

I certainly enjoyed the BFI package of The Crowded Day/Song of Paris neither of which I had seen before and the dual format meant that a chum with a blu-ray player got to enjoy them too

For me it was Network's "Shadows Of Fear", even though there were some dud episodes.
